Rooms Still Available for Christmas Week at Canaan Valley Resort

There are still lodge rooms available for Christmas and the week following the holiday at north central West Virginia’s Canaan Valley Resort.

The resort is located within an easy drive of Northern Virginia and the D.C. area as well as many locations throughout the Midwest and Southeast.

“Our staff and visitors have already had an early Christmas present with some great early-season skiing, and we have our fingers crossed for even more wintry weather in the coming days,” said Steve Drumheller, general manager of Canaan Valley Resort. “And when it is time to come in out of the cold, our inventive events staff has lined up an array of crafts and games to entertain families and keep kids active all the way until New Year’s.”

With an array of affordable packages and special promotions, the week between Christmas and New Year’s – when school is out and kinds have pent-up energy – is an especially good time to plan a getaway at Canaan Valley Resort, said Drumheller.

Details about the resort’s deals and packages throughout the Christmas Weekend and the days leading up to New Year’s Weekend are available online.

The Canaan Resort Ski Area is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ice skating rink is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and10 a.m. through 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
