7:30 PM: Polls have just closed and results are eagerly awaited. The last time an excess levy was voted on in Randolph County was it failed by 5.37% with 48.68% of registered voters turning out to vote. This year 2,588 votes were cast during the early voting period–around 15% of registered voters in the county. If prior trends continue we can expect that about 6,000 votes were cast today.

8:32 PM: With the precincts within Elkins reporting and only outlying areas remaining, it is hard to imagine that the measure will pass based on past tendencies of voters. It appears that turnout will look similar to November 2015. During that election, the levy failed by about 542 votes.
