Kylie Proudfoot Payne will be teaching Augusta for Kids, Exploring the Arts, Augusta for Kids Style during Week 5, August 2-7, 2015. Passing traditions on to the next generation has always been an important part of our work here at Augusta, and this year we’re excited to offer Augusta for Kids during Weeks 1, 4, and 5. Week 5 is also Old-Time Week, Vocal Week, and American Vernacular Dance Week.

This class is open to kids ages 8-12. Participants will delve deeper into their interest in the arts while creating a solid foundation for taking a project from start to finish. The class includes painting, weaving, binding, molding and more as well as art terms, elements and principles.

Kylie Proudfoot -Payne lives in Barbour County and graduated from Davis & Elkins College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Human Services and Art Education. She currently teaches with Randolph County ArtsBank and is an award-winning landscape painter.
