Fall is in the air and the spookiest season of all is around the corner. You could be dressing up as ghosts, goblins, and witches or you could be bundled up enjoying hot apple cider, exploring the Fall foliage mountains, and carving pumpkins. Fall is a season for all!

Celebrate Fall and get lost in the daytime 10-acre Randolph County Fair Corn Maze. You can pick out huge pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes out of the pumpkin patch.

Hustle on over to Camp Pioneer in your favorite Halloween costume to support Beverly Elementary School for our 4th annual 5K!  All proceeds go to the improvement and benefit of Beverly Elementary School. Dust, cobwebs, broken windows, footsteps above, creaking doors, screams, crying, and laughter are among the few things you might just see or hear at the Haunted House and Swamp at Shavers Fork Campground. Open to the public for one night only from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, will you dare to enter? Located at 9 Faulkner Road.

Free Admission for all Shavers Fork Campground campers.

Howl-O-Ween 2018 Costume Pet Party – Sunday, October 21

Bring your Frankenstein Furbaby and have their photo professionally taken to celebrate Halloween! Photographs will be taken by Wet Nose Photos. Costumes are welcome, but not required. Clayton Homes of Elkins invites you to the 28th Annual Safe Trick or Treat Night. Over 20 local businesses and groups will attend to pass out candy in a traffic-controlled environment. This is free and open to the public. The trick or treat event will take place on Thursday, October 25 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular – Friday, October 26
The Arts Center w/ special guest Randolph County Humane Society

Dress up if you dare for a hair-raising good time! Games, stories, popcorn, treats, and the monster mash. The Randolph County Humane Society is bringing their furry friends to join in on the fun. This event is free and family friendly from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. RCHS staff will be available to meet potential adopters, answer adoption questions and review applications. All pets are already spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, and microchipped.

Downtown Elkins Trick or Treat – Friday, October 26
Elkins Main Street – Downtown Elkins, WV

More than 1,000 ghosts and goblins are expected in downtown Elkins for the annual Elkins Main Street trick-or-treat event. Elkins Main Street is inviting children 12 and under to participate in the Halloween fun. Between 5:00pm and 6:00pm, downtown businesses, including merchants, restaurants, offices and banks, are expected to participate in the fun, offering treats to youngsters dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes.

Trunk or Treat – Friday, October 26
Youth Health Services – 971 Harrison Ave., Elkins, WV

Ever been to a trunk or treat? The Youth Health Service volunteers will decorate the back of their cars for Halloween, load up on candy, and sit in the parking lot for kids to “trick or treat” from car to car. Kids come in hundreds, fully dressed in Halloween costumes and holding out bags or plastic pumpkins for treats.

This event will take place on Friday, October 26th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Youth Health Services.

Montrose Trunk or Treat – Friday, October 26
Hosted by Leading Creek Fire Department- Montrose, WV

When it comes to decorating vehicles there are the many choices, like decorating for Halloween, using pumpkins, spider webbing, spiders, brooms, bats, cauldrons, scary stuff… You never know what you will see! Join the Leading Creek Fire Department on Friday, October 26th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for a safe night of Halloween fun. Food will be provided during the Trunk or Treat.

Generation Randolph Zombie Walk for Hunger 2017

Zombie Walk for Hunger – Friday, October 26
Hosted by Generation Randolph- Downtown Elkins, WV

Make your way downtown on Friday October 26th for the 3rd Annual Zombie Walk for Hunger from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. Must be 21 or over to participate. At 6:30pm, meet at Big Timber Brewing for a group photo and then you will make your way to the next stop with the Zombie Group. We will repeat until we get to El Gran Sabor at the end of the night. Enjoy ghoulish drink specials! Non-perishable food donations will be accepted at ALL locations for the local Food Banks. Bat Week – Friday, October 26 & Saturday, October 27

Location- Elkins-Randolph County YMCA, 400 Davis Ave., Elkins, WV

Come celebrate Bat Week at the Elkins YMCA on October 26th (4:30pm to 7:00pm) and 27th (11am to 2pm). This two-day event is family-friendly and will be fun for all ages.  Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Activity stations will be set up with crafts, games, and fun educational material. Learn about bats, what they do, why they are important, and how you can be a bat hero! Explore and walk through the inflatable bat cave. Bat Biologists will be available to answer all your questions!

Davis and Elkins College Harvest Fest – Friday, October 26 & Saturday, October 27
D&E Art Club, D&E Senator Nation, Augusta Heritage Center- 100 Campus Drive, Elkins, WV

Come on, come all to the first Annual Harvest Festival. On Friday at 8:00pm kicks off the event with an Augusta Heritage Square Dance and S’mores provided by Davis and Elkins College Art Club. The main event will take place at the Claude King Memorial Plaza on Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Activities include an apple butter and ice cream making workshop, cider doughnut making, make your own scarecrow with the D&E Art Club, paint your own fall scene guided by the D&E Art Club and face painting with the D&E Art Club, and much much more. All events are FREE and open to the public.

Davis and Elkins College Haunted Trail – Thursday, October 25 through Saturday, October 27

Prepare to be spooked on this family-friendly, yet dreadfully scary Haunted Trail.  Make your way through the interactive walking trail, encountering the creepy, spine-chilling shadows that await.

Admission is $2 per person and will take place on Thursday through Saturday, October 25-27 from 8:30pm to midnight.

Wrestle Scream 2, Trick or Treat, and Halloween Costume Contest – Saturday, October 27
Tygart Valley High School- 219 US-250, Mill Creek, WV

Be sure to show up to the HORRIFYING show known as Wrestle Scream 2. The show will be at Tygart Valley High School on October 27th. It will be a night full of blood, sweat, and tears will Pro-Wrestling Mid Atlantic. The night of the fights, children as well as adults are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes. A Halloween costume contest will be for children as well as adults. Doors open at 6:00pm with 7:30pm being bell time.

Admission to the event: 12 and under with a paying adult gets in FREE.
