Blizzard 2016: Images of Elkins in the Snow Andrew Carroll January 4, 2017 5 Comments It’s safe to say that while covered in a nice blanket of snow, Elkins missed the worse of the storm and was graced with a beautiful Sunday morning after the storm. In the morning light, I laced up my running shoes and ran through town and took some photos of Elkins covered in 20+ inches of snow. The beauty of Elkins in the snow–from the Iron Horse to the frozen Tygart River–didn’t disappoint by any stretch of the imagination. Send your photos of snow to elkinitie@elkinite.com for inclusion in a crowd sourced photo story about the storm in Randolph County. 5 Responses Betty Taylor Jack January 25, 2016 I just got taken back in history. I was born in Elkins A lot of my family are still there. Bless the person who took all the pictures I recognized where each one was. I have been gone for a long time but my heart is still there.
